Pizza, Beer And a Good Cause; MSPCA-Angell

Thursday Night January 28th from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, there will be an after work party for people who love pets in the Seaport District organized by MSPCA-Angell and sponsored by Upper Crust Pizza and The Harpoon Brewery.  Going out on a Thursday Night after work is so much better when you are standing in a room full of people with a common interest. Dogs and yes, cats, as it was recently pointed out to me that cats are wonderful pets as well. (See, I was listening)

What This Party Is For

You should purchase your tickets in advance through MSPCA-Angell’s website. Important to note is 100% of  the money raised goes towards the purchase of very much needed “Bair Huggers” for the Angell Animal Medical Center. Recently I took a tour of the MSPCA-Angell facilities and saw first hand the few Bair Huggers Angell has available, in use.

Bair Huggers are warming blankets where carefully warmed air is pumped into a special blanket used to regulate patients body temperature. This is an essential tool for dealing with hypothermia and also dramatically improves recovery time of the animals coming out of surgery. Angell needs more of these Bair Huggers to help keep up with the demand of critically injured animals.

As many of you know, MSPCA-Angell would not exist without the support of the Boston pet community. As a Boston dog owner I am always very glad that others before me have made such incredible contributions to make the Angell Animal Medical Center possible should the need arise for our dog Moose. In part, it is these events which keep MSPCA-Angell programs open and a valuable resource to us all.

Now About the Party…

This Thursday Night at a very cool setting; At the Harpoon Brewery, you will find a gathering of other dog owners and yes cat owners too. Where conversation flows as easily as the generously donated Harpoon Beer and the delicious pizza provided by the legendary pizza maker The Upper Crust Pizzeria.

So grab your friends, especially if they love the company of a good animal. If you are new to Boston or single this is a great opportunity to meet-up with people here in Boston with similar interests. I am sure you would agree this has the potential to be a great party for Boston dog owners.

You can purchase your tickets in advance at the MSPCA Angell website. I hope to see you there.

Location: The Harpoon Brewery, 306 Northern Avenue, Boston, MA
Time: 6 pm to 7:30 pm
Price: $35

  1. Awe, I totally wish that I could go (with camera!)! What a fun event and a great cause. Thanks for always keeping your readers in the loop for great dog-lover events!

    • Stacey, last night’s event had a great turn out. These MSPCA-Angell events are definitely a great place to connect with others who have an interest in dogs and cats. In addition a great cause, which Boston would not be the same for pet owners if the MSPCA-Angell programs did not exist.
