Four Preppy Paws, Beacon Hill

Beacon Hill might be one of Boston’s most picturesque neighborhoods with cobblestone streets, gas lighting and historic homes. Nestled on Charles Street you will find a cute little shop called Four Preppy Paws. This is not a huge dog boutique but they have a nice selection of unique dog toys, accessories and treats. If you find yourself lost on the Hill you can ask any one of the many locals out for a walk with their dogs for directions as Heidi Barraza and her staff have become a fantastic resource for this Bostonian community. Polka Dog Bakery, Like Willy Wonka For Dogs

Polka Dog Boston Dog Treats and Toys

I am not sure what I thought I was going to see the first time I decided to go to the Polka Dog Bakery for the first time but I do remember just how impressed I was when we walked in the door. I have a thing for old fashioned general stores you might find in the country. The Polka Dog Bakery reminds me of big jars of candy lining wooden shelves. Cool things you wish you could have that you have not seen elsewhere.     Continue reading

Boston’s Dog Friendly Real Estate Agent

Jay and his dog reading the Boston Real Estate section

Boston’s Dog Friendly Real Estate Agent: Jay Stebbins

I am very pleased to announce I am working as a “Dog Friendly Real Estate Agent” right in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay at Linnane Real Estate. Linnane is a boutique broker who understands the need for an agent specializing in pet friendly properties and has the professionalism needed in the Boston Real Estate market. I am very glad to be able to apply my knowledge of the different Boston neighborhoods in regards to living with a dog.

Specializing in pet friendly real estate allows me to focus on the pet policies of the various Boston properties as well as the other needs of dog owners often not considered when choosing a place to live. By writing for my Fido Loves blog I have gained a very unique knowledge about living in Boston with your dog. Whether you are renting or buying a home in Boston I can be a tremendous asset to those with dog, both as a Buyers Agent or a Rental Agent. If you are relocating to Boston I can easily make that process much easier.

Fido Loves will continue to be a blog or guide about finding a dog friendly Boston for which I will continue to review, interview and photograph the best of Boston’s dog world. If there is one thing I really enjoy, getting to personally know Boston’s dog community. There will be a separate “Dog Friendly Real Estate” section added to this website in order to help dog owners find pet friendly apartments in Boston. I will do my best to keep the main blog focused on living with your dog in Boston.
