March 9th: Dog Friendly Condos Downtown Boston

Today March 9th, 2010 there is a handful of very dog friendly luxury condo and apartments for rent in Boston’s financial district and waterfront areas. All of which are close to grassy areas for your dog when they need to go outside. Most of the units are without weight restrictions. In this area you will find the usual breed restrictions.
Today I counted 6 available dog friendly apartments spread across a few pet friendly buildings downtown. They all range from $3,000 – $4,000 per month. For this price you can expect to find luxury condos with a square footage of 875-1,300 square feet. All the units also feature stainless steel, granite, hardwood floors. One unit in particular, has a 475 sq. ft. patio which overlooks the harbor and Boston skyline. Some units have parking included or available. One unit is absolutely beautiful with loft style brick and beam construction. Once again, these are all very dog friendly. The MLS was full of nice surprises today.
Living with a dog in the downtown/financial district of Boston is much nicer than you would imagine. The waterfront has a number of grassy parks easily within walking distance, if not steps from your front door for those late night trips outside. I would be glad to show you the available condos and give my nickel tour of the area for dog owners. This is an area I know very well, at least if it is dog friendly…
About- Dog Friendly Boston Apartment Reports

Each morning my day starts with a cup of coffee while I check the MLS and hot sheets for new dog friendly apartment rentals or homes for sale in the Boston area. Instead of jotting information into a notebook, I will be sharing them on Fido Loves with dog owners searching for a home in Boston.
These descriptions will be brief and to the point (unlike most my writing), they are just notes for myself and those who are looking for a place to live with a dog in Boston. The units described are a culmination of the best of what I come across. If something piques your interest, feel free to contact me (Jay Stebbins). Continue reading
Boston’s Most Dog Friendly Neighborhoods
One of the best things we can do for our dogs, and more importantly, our own sanity, is find a dog friendly place to live. Living in a neighborhood where there is a dog park for your dog to socialize, a nearby tree for those late night bathroom breaks and a dogs allowed mentality, are all important considerations when searching for a dog friendly home in Boston.
When I am not writing articles for Fido Loves, I am searching for dog friendly apartments and homes for clients moving to Boston. During the past six months I started taking notes as I looked at the various Boston neighborhoods and how they rate as a dog friendly neighborhood. I had sought out to answer the question; “Which neighborhoods in Boston are the most dog friendly?”. Recognizing the primary needs of a Boston dog owner, here is a quick overview of Boston’s most dog friendly neighborhoods. Continue reading
Boston’s Dog Friendly Real Estate Agent
Boston’s Dog Friendly Real Estate Agent: Jay Stebbins
I am very pleased to announce I am working as a “Dog Friendly Real Estate Agent” right in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay at Linnane Real Estate. Linnane is a boutique broker who understands the need for an agent specializing in pet friendly properties and has the professionalism needed in the Boston Real Estate market. I am very glad to be able to apply my knowledge of the different Boston neighborhoods in regards to living with a dog.
Specializing in pet friendly real estate allows me to focus on the pet policies of the various Boston properties as well as the other needs of dog owners often not considered when choosing a place to live. By writing for my Fido Loves blog I have gained a very unique knowledge about living in Boston with your dog. Whether you are renting or buying a home in Boston I can be a tremendous asset to those with dog, both as a Buyers Agent or a Rental Agent. If you are relocating to Boston I can easily make that process much easier.
Fido Loves will continue to be a blog or guide about finding a dog friendly Boston for which I will continue to review, interview and photograph the best of Boston’s dog world. If there is one thing I really enjoy, getting to personally know Boston’s dog community. There will be a separate “Dog Friendly Real Estate” section added to this website in order to help dog owners find pet friendly apartments in Boston. I will do my best to keep the main blog focused on living with your dog in Boston.
