Dog Friendly Beach With or Without Sand

Brant Rock is unique, there are two dog friendly beach sections, one area with sand and the other without. Both areas of Brant Rock Beach are beautiful, you just decide what works best for you and your dog. If you are having dip with your chips you might choose, no sand. If you forgo your own chips and dip, there is a a little town center steps away where you will find a couple outdoor lunch spots. In all, Brandt Rock Beach is a great off the beaten path spot to catch a little sun and go swimming with the dog.

We found Brant Rock Beach the first time we were headed to Rexhame Beach and the lot was full. In the end we lucked out as we pulled into one of the free two hour spaces right next to the rock area of Brant Rock Beach. There is also a beach parking lot for non-residents around just past the place that sells beach chairs. Regardless, once we settled in we met quite of few great people at the beach. Everyone was nice, more curious what kind of dog we had than anything.

One note, during high tide the rock section of beach will likely disappear. If you are going to go for a walk and leave your stuff behind, make sure you ask about the tide or your stuff might get sucked out to sea.

It was nice not dealing with the sand while we were at the beach and afterwards in the car. At this point in searching out dog friendly beach options we are driving a sandbox on wheels.

Went to Salsbury Beach and talked to one of the beach guards and they let me take glacier just north of there about 1/4 mile up the street. There is a small sign where their territory ends.It doesnt say anything about dogs not being allowed and an access to the beach. Parking is sketchy. Nobody said a word. There were no other dogs in sight.
We had a time good together. Waves can be rough at this beach. It was her first time at the ocean. She went under once or twice.
Give it a chance. See what happens. If i rember correctly, their is a cove just north of the beach where the water is calmer. Didnt get a chance try there yet. Mabey next time.

    Good luck
