It's Not Yappy Hour, It's Yappier Hour @Liberty Hotel

It’s Not Yappy Hour, It’s Yappier Hour @Liberty Hotel

The very pet friendly Liberty Hotel sets up an outside bar in their enclosed courtyard for dogs and their owners. Drinks and appetizers were served among a unique mix of romping pooches and Bostonians. As I have heard great things about The Liberty from others regarding the quality of cocktail and conversation, I had high expectations already. I was, however, unsure how Moose our Pointer would fit in.

Acclimate Your Boston Dog to City Life

Acclimate Your Boston Dog to City Life

Dogs living in Boston, need a set of special skills as they navigate the mean streets of Boston. Well, OK, the streets are not that mean, but to a young pup or dog new to the city, the streets can be pretty intimidating. In addition to the hustle and bustle of cars and people, your [...]

Learn About Dogs at The Dog Show

Learn About Dogs at The Dog Show

A long time ago my father used to show a beautiful Komondor named "Indo", owned by Dr. Marion Levy, of Princeton University. At the time Komondorok were a very rare breed to be seen in Boston. These dogs are originally bred in Hungary for the task of guarding livestock. These are a very friendly, intelligent [...]

There are a number of very cool events happening this coming weekend, enough so, I thought I would write an article about everything going on in Boston that is pet friendly. If you know of something [...]

This past Friday evening Margie Moose and I went to a Halloween costume party for dogs at Durty Harry's in Charlestown. Word on the street said there would be a great turn out from the Charlestown dog community and the dog costume party "Should be a Howl". It turns out the word on the street was [...]

2009 Pawvilion "Furball" Charity Dance

2009 Pawvilion “Furball” Charity Dance

Personally I like social events that are wrapped around a good cause (The Animal Rescue League of Boston). I met Margie at a charity event four years ago, karma might be funny like that, and remain a fan of charity events. Regardless, September 24th is a night to save for socializing with others who care dearly for pets that are not as fortunate as your dog or mine. To sweeten the deal they are throwing a 70's dance party at the Pavilion located in Boston's Seaport District.
