“A tired dog is a good dog”, is a cliche for a reason and as our dog is an English Pointer the mantra around our house. I know when I look over to see my dog out cold on the floor exhausted from his day, I have done my job well. The sense of accomplishment and satisfaction always makes me laugh. Seriously, do you know what it takes to fully exhaust a Pointer? This was a moment of one of those days, Moose out cold on the couch surrounded by his collection of well worn dog toys.
“A Tired Dog Is A Good Dog” ~ words to live by
Particularly if you live with a dog in the city, it is important to get outside and let your dog exercise and be social with other dogs. Exhausted dogs sleep instead of look for trouble to get into. Even suburban dogs with huge back yards need to get out and socialize. Dog’s are social creatures. It is when you isolate them from the world that problems begin to develop.
