Beacon Hill might be one of Boston’s most picturesque neighborhoods with cobblestone streets, gas lighting and historic homes. Nestled on Charles Street you will find a cute little shop called Four Preppy Paws. This is not a huge dog boutique but they have a nice selection of unique dog toys, accessories and treats. If you find yourself lost on the Hill you can ask any one of the many locals out for a walk with their dogs for directions as Heidi Barraza and her staff have become a fantastic resource for this Bostonian community.
The last time we swung by Four Preppy Paws we were shopping for gifts for our friends. We met Rachel with her French Bulldog named Romeo. I don’t want to take away from from how incredibly helpful and knowledgeable Rachel is but here dog Romeo tends to steal the show. Regardless, Rachel and other people we have met in the past always make visiting their dog boutique a great experience. The staff here has always been helpful whenever you are trying to find something in Beacon Hill.
Four Preppy Paws tends to have very nice and unique items that you will certainly not find at a big box store. We missed out on some very cool scarves for dogs which my short haired shivering dog could certainly use, if not just look good wearing. We just might need to swing back through and see if we can nab one.
Interestingly enough, Heidi has opened Dogwood Cottage, offering boarding, grooming and daycare with pick up and drop off in Boston.
