A Fresh New Dog Site

Welcome to Fido Loves, my blog about living with a dog in Boston. Anyone who knows me understands how much I love to meet people and explore. Sometime recently we were out playing with “The Magnificent Moose” when we decided to share our experiences with others. Margie came up with the name “Fido Loves” as this would be a collection of articles and photography of the things a dog loves most; playing, eating, staying healthy and a happy home.

The articles on fidoloves.com are written by myself or an invited guest based on personal experiences with the various people and places which make up the Boston dog world. Photography happens to be one of my favorite pastimes. So instead of scraping photos and information off of existing websites we are creating everything from scratch.  It is a lot of work, but well worth the effort when you want to create something worth our readers’/dog enthusiasts’ time.

I love living in Boston. At first living with a dog here was tough. But we have found an amazing amount of very dog friendly places, events, and activities. In addition we have met some people who have a very positive impact in the Boston dog world. Many of these people toil away unnoticed helping dogs and their owners have better lives. We are taking the time to seek those people out and see what they have to say as well.

Thank you for taking the time to read about what Fido Loves….

  1. The greatest favor anyone could do with regards to this website. Suggestions and comments about what you like and what you don’t. I would really like to make this a very usable as well as beautiful website for dog owners. Feedback is essential.

This page will continue to be adjusted explaining some of the hidden or unique features that will allow you to use not only this website more effectively, but others as well.

Also please try to forgive me for my bastardization of the english language. I am making an effort to remember much that I have forgotten in that regard.

    As always,
    Jay

  3. Jay – the site looks GREAT!!!!!

    • Thank you, this has become a full time project for me. There will be some fantastic additions over the next week. Please keep checking in to see what is happening.

I just need to get Margie to edit my mangled version of the English language.

  4. This is a great website – I hope to spend more time here. Just thought I’d recommend the book The Boston Dog Lovers Companion (a.k.a. The Dog Lover’s Companion to Boston).

Rocky and I enjoyed meeting you and Margie and the wonderful Moose at the Fells…

    • It was great meeting you and Rocky as well, such a sweet English Cocker. I just got a chance to check out that book, it is a pretty good resource. We will be checking out some of the spots listed. Especially the areas listed outside Boston.
