The influence a dog can have on the direction of our lives can be amazing. For South End resident Jack Wright, the life of his dog changed everything. Tucker, a black lab and full time companion of Jack, had a long great life always by his masters side. When Tucker passed, the effect on Jack was profound, inspiring him to chase after his dream business of making well made dog accessories. He started Woofwerks with line of very well made leather dog collars, the kind that will last a lifetime, and then some.
The life of a good dog is nostalgic, especially in the minds of the people who care for them. Jack believes in building things that last, like dog collars age well and develop a character of their own, one day becoming a nostalgic keepsake. You should see these collars, layered, riveted well designed with quality materials. He also has a selection of leashes to match. These are all english bridle leather that has been tanned with 100% vegetable oil and extracts from tree bark and pulp. Just in case you were wondering.
Since I first met Jack he has also released a line of nylon collars embedded with leather as well. I am sure these are as nice as the leather collars and leads I am familiar with. They certainly look nice on his website.
Woofwerks is growing, adding stoneware food bowls, tin food storage containers and a line of rain gear fro dog owners. You will see his “Life is a Ball!” logo on all of these products. I wish Jack well with his dream of building a fine line of products for dogs. You can find his products at some of the local dog boutiques here in Boston and at www.woofwerks.com, swing by his website for an updated list of where you can find his fine dog accessories.
