MSPCA-Angell Walk For Animals
This year I attended the MSPCA-Angell: Walk for Animals and photographed the event. Here you will find some of my photographs of the event and links to more pictures of dogs walking for the animals in Boston. Pictures and links at the bottom of this post.
Each Fall the MSPCA-Angel “Walk For Animals” takes place in Boston, Hyannis and Methuen. The 2011 Walk for Animals will take place on Sunday, September 11, 2011 in all three locations. The Walk For Animals – Boston will meet on the Boston Common Sunday morning at 11:00 am near the corner of Charles and Beacon.
Really this is an easy event to spot in Boston with so many dog owners meeting up in a park at the same time. If you did not know what was going on you would think they were shooting a sequel to “Best In Show”. Last year there was an agility course set up along with a few dog related vendors. It was pretty fun to show up a little early or on time for once, as there were other things to do.
Take a look at the MSPCA-Angell sign up page, you can create a team or join an existing team for the Walk for Animals.
At the time of this writing the Team List had Team Murtha and Running the Pack crushing everyone else. Although the Rodgers Park Crew were right there with them (Where in the world is Rodgers Park?).
If you are in downtown Boston you might want to give Team Pawsh a few extra legs…. I love competition.
The 2010 Walk for Animals brought out 2,500 animal lovers with 1,80o dogs to walk promote kindness and care for animals while raising over $350,000 of homeless, abused and injured animals.
