Thanks for the recommendation, My girlfriend and I are taking Shadow and Millie, and we are so psyched. Especially because the owner has a pit bull, and my pittie loves other bully faces!

We have stayed at the Village House every spring for years. We always bring our Golden Retriever, and we always have so much fun. The Village House is a wonderful place, the inn keepers just could not be nicer, and its very, very pet friendly. And remarkably clean inside and out. There are wonderful walking trails, great mountain hikes nearby, and great restaurants. During our stay, we always canoe on the Saco River. We rent through Saco Valley Canoe who is also very pet friendly. The Village House is the perfect place for anyone looking for a great vacation with your pet (or without your pet, but what fun would that be??).

I have to say, staying with John and Sally took me back to the way inns used to be. I absolutely loved sitting with Sally, John, the other guests and our dogs. I truly felt like I was visiting my family - yes I was that comfortable. I am also super paranoid about leaving Moose with anyone, but I can honestly say that within 10 minutes of meeting Sally and John, I would have know qualms about leaving Moose in their care for the day, which let me tell you, takes so much stress out of traveling. We met two guests from the Boston area (Scott and Anna) with two very cool rescue dogs that could easily pass as wolves if you met them in the woods. They were so sweet and loving as they roamed around the inn. I should also mention that we had dinner at the White Mountain Cider Company http://whitemountaincider.com/ - it was awesome!! Boston-quality food in the mountains. The bartender there has worked with the bartenders and Barbara Lynch's Drink in the Seaport District (http://drinkfortpoint.com/) so you are guaranteed some good Après-ski cocktails! Sally and John - we can't wait to see you again!

It is at the Wildcat Tavern on Tuesday nights, right in Jackson.

I like your website on pet friendly travel.
