Typically I write about where to find a dog friendly beach or which apple orchards allow dogs.Recently, I spent my Sunday at the “Lather Up The Love!” fundraiser for Lucky Labs Rescue and Adoption at Durty Harry’s in Charlestown. The Harborview in the Charlestown Navy Yard might be one of the most dog friendly luxury rental buildings in Boston. It is rare to find a luxury apartment building, in Boston, that will accept larger dogs. This luxury building does not have a weight limit for dogs, there is a two dog limit and the usual breed restrictions. Located on the waterfront, in one of Boston’s most dog friendly neighborhoods, you can comfortably live with your dog within minutes of downtown Boston.

I had heard good things about “Durty Harry’s” in Charlestown, which is a easy walk or quick drive from the Navy Yard. Durty Harry’s is a dog wash where you can bathe and groom your own dog; saving your own bathroom from sure destruction.

Just a short walk from Charlestown, the Navy Yard and the North End, Paul Revere Park is an incredibly beautiful place to take your dog for playtime without having to leave Boston. Paul Revere is one of our favorite places to enjoy coffee and dogs.
